Tiny Torpedoes is a relaxed and fun introduction to the game of AFL or Aussie Rules Football. We focus on fun and fostering a love of the game while developing core agility skills. We work together as a team to encourage and support one other as we learn.
Tiny Barrels 2-3 years
This class is in a group setting and is structured to enable your child to develop their gross motor skills while having fun and learning through basic activities. These activities will be focused on kick-starting your child’s football skills. They will include kicking a ball off the ground, carrying a ball, following basic instructions and developing agility skills. Parents get involved with the fun too.
Tiny Spirals 3-4 years
This class is a group setting that is structured to enable you child to develop and improve their existing gross motor skills through participation in activities. These activities will be focused on kick-starting your child’s football skills. They include kicking a ball (hand to foot), attempting to handball, following instructions and developing agility skills.
Tiny Torps 4-5 years
This stage of Tiny Torpedoes is bringing together all skills with confidence. These skills will be developed through activities that focus on kicking and handballing at a target and/or goals, learning the basic field positions (back line, forward line, mid-field) and building confidence to mark the ball. Your child will be encouraged to express themselves through these activities with an emphasis on good sportsmanship, encouragement of others and communicating in a friendly way.
